Set in Hashima and modern Tokyo, Nagasaki Prefecture, where the coal industry grew rapidly in 1955, this drama tells the story of love, friendship, and family history spanning 70 years, outlining the family bonds and human beings, youth and love in the post-war reconstruction period to the period of rapid economic growth, and depicting the modern era of "an era that seems to have everything but young people have no dreams".
